There is no season more important to retailers than the holidays. And it becomes increasingly more important—and competitive—with each passing year. As such, it’s never too early to plan. The August installment of the RetailNext monthly webinar series will give retailers the information they need to better plan and execute on delivering a winning Q4.

Retail’s New Realities

There’s a new reality for retail today. The sooner retailers can modify their “tried and true” approaches to better match up with shopper wants and expectations, the better positioned they’ll be in this ever-competitive industry.

In this month’s webinar, Shelley E. Kohan, RetailNext’s vice president of retail consulting and a teaching professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, will share her thoughts on how retailers are building their organizations around shoppers and their expectations. She’ll discuss why more and more we’re seeing marketing in the backgrounds of retail’s C-level executives, including that of the CEO. Kohan will also be looking at the role of new technologies in stores, from what she calls “store theatrics,” or building engaging and entertaining environments, to strategies for improving shopper interactions and infrastructures for newer omnichannel realities (such as buy online, pickup in store).

The Better the Data, the Better the Decisions

For this year’s holidays, the calendar throws a few quirks into the mix. Halloween falls on a Friday, and sets up a “Hallo-day” opening weekend for November. Maybe more importantly, Thanksgiving is comes late, similar to last year, posing some tough challenges to many retailers.

Joining Kohan as a facilitator of the webinar will be Chitra Balasubramanian, head of business analytics at RetailNext, who will guide attendees through the lessons learned from the 2013 holidays and share insights into current trends affecting retail performance in 2014.

Opportunities Abound

Opportunities abound in the coming holiday season—but only the prepared retailer will benefit. Start your holiday planning by registering now to join us on August 19 at 11:00 am PDT, for “Revving Up for the Holidays: A Brick-and-Mortar Guide to Maximizing Holiday Sales.” In this webinar, Kohan and Balasubramanian will ensure you fully understand:
