Montblanc began testing RetailNext’s video analytics at a Miami store in mid-2011, generating maps that show what parts of the store are best trafficked to determine where to place in-store decorations, salespeople and merchandise. It also allows Montblanc’s Miami retail employees to make decisions faster. Rodrigo Fajado, Montblanc’s brand manager in Miami, told Businessweek the software helped boost sales 20%.
