CIO Review’s “The Best”

CIO Review searched for “The Best” in a variety of areas important to tech and retail businesses. Its editorial research team analyzed 300+ companies focused on offering technology solutions to the retail industry and that are also at the forefront of tackling enterprise challenges. Through nominations and consultations with industry leaders, CIO Review editors chose the best in a number of domains. The winners will appear in the upcoming special edition of CIO Review, and there will be a short list of those named “20 Most Promising Retail Consulting Service Providers in 2013”.

Red Herring’s 2013 Top 100 Global

Red Herring Global is the culmination of a year’s work of scouring the globe and reviewing thousands of privately held companies from more than 40 nations around the world. The award is a prestigious recognition honoring the year’s most audacious and far reaching private technology companies demonstrating the most innovative technologies and business models. Companies are judged on a range of qualitative and quantitative metrics, including technology innovation, financial performance, management's execution standards, potential globalization strategy and market share improvement.

Chairman of Red Herring Alex Vieux said, “Technology companies are becoming the bright spot in the economic outlook based on their increasing role within macro-economic environments. 2013 has demonstrated the sector's vibrant activity and its contribution to the global economic recovery.”

Vieux added, “RetailNext is performing exceptionally in its field and strongly deserves to be singled out as one of the Red Herring Global Finalists. At this stage, we are left with the daunting task to select the best qualified companies for the 2013 Top 100 Global Award.”
