Rachelle Benson’s retail career kicked off as a keyholder in Burberry’s Santana Row (San Jose, California) location. This experience prepared her to gain momentum in the retail marketplace and build her managerial skills. After spending 15 years in five different locations with the global luxury brand, Rachelle’s proven abilities to drive store performance through data and analysis, as well as an international retail awareness second to none, made her an ideal fit for RetailNext’s Retail Expert role. “I was very interested in a company that was innovative and had capabilities to utilize data analytics to incrementally grow retail businesses,” says Rachelle.

Rachelle comes alive when she is around diverse people; this fires her up and is what has made her such a great manager and a developer of talent. “Not only do I have a passion for connecting with people,” says Rachelle, “but I also enjoy the ability to drive business through strategic decision making and develop talent through coaching and training.”

The innovative nature of utilizing data analytics to drive retail revenue is what caught the eye of Rachelle and drew her towards RetailNext.

There is no such thing as an “average day” in the role of a Retail Expert, but if there was, for Rachelle it would include internal collaboration, customer training, and navigating the user interface to gather insights on customer data. Away from the office, Rachelle is an adrenaline junky thirsting for all things extreme, and she is happiest in her spare time rock climbing, zip lining and skydiving.
