As a Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for inbound inquiries globally and be responsible for product demonstrations and qualified pipeline generation. What is the opportunity?

As a Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for inbound inquiries globally and be responsible for product demonstrations and qualified pipeline generation. Being the first point of contact, this position is critical to the growth of our business by providing an exceptional customer experience while demonstrating the positive impact of our product.

The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to be coached and understand how to implement feedback. This candidate will also be a self- starter who is proactive in driving revenue, increasing the client base, and evangelizing the value of the RetailNext platform. This position is located in our Cape Town, South Africa office. 

What will you be doing?

  • Making a high volume of outbound calls to both warm and cold prospects.
  • Ability to articulate RetailNext’s premium services to drive interest in furthering the sales conversation.
  • To qualified prospects, presenting a demonstration of the RetailNext product Suite
  • Working closely with Account Executives to build pipeline and drive deals forward


Who are you?

  • Strong communicator and presentation skills. Knowing how to get around objections.  You are astute at finding ways to get your prospects to say "YES!"
  • Exhibit the ability to hit and exceed daily activity metrics as well think outside the box as to new avenues to account penetration
  • Having a self-awareness that leads you to be open to feedback and dedicated to self-improvement
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do positive attitude
  • Experience with CRM a plus (Salesforce preferred)
