The Internet of Things (IoT), by definition, will be all around us, and tomorrow’s vision of the future is
increasingly becoming today’s routine same ol’ same ol’. Every day, more and more things become connected, from doorbells to shopping bags, from an automobile’s CPU to a dieter’s home scale.
Consumers are leading the application of IoT technology, and nothing says “consumer” like retail, with the entire business model, of course, built around the consumer customer. So, it’s no surprise that IoT grows bigger and bigger in the industry with each passing week, whether it’s the introduction of RetailNext’s world’s first in sensor technology, the Aurora all-in-one sensor, the Acuitas Digital alliance of companies that delivers IoT solutions through out a retailer’s value-chain, or other applications.
