Last week was a very busy and successful NRF LP show for us. A few highlights include:
- Roughly double the amount of booth traffic we've seen compared to previous years.
- A hugely popular session on in-store analytics presented by LP leaders from American Apparel, Brookstone, and Tilly's (see the presentation deck here).
- The announcement of RetailNext 4.0, including new powerful capabilities such as male/female demographics, employee detection, multi-camera heat maps, and legacy DVR integration.
- A write-up of RetailNext 4.0 in D&D Daily, the popular e-newsletter focused on retail Loss Prevention.
All this activity shows that the LP community has begun to understand the importance of analytics to serve its agenda of reducing theft, promoting safety, and helping shoppers and employees stay honest. I can't wait to see what next year brings.
