Bryan Wargo is Head of Worldwide Sales at RetailNext.
Bryan brings 20 years of leadership experience in high tech and fast growth environments to RetailNext. As Head of Worldwide Sales, Bryan is responsible for growing and managing global sales and developing innovative strategies to help retailers solve their toughest business challenges. Bryan has a proven track record of building deep business development and sales strategies and a solid reputation for increasing revenues and profitability in the retail technology space. He is also responsible for developing strategic partnerships with leading integrator and solution providers globally.
Prior to joining RetailNext, Bryan was the CEO and Co-founder of Nearbuy Systems, the leading provider of location-based Wi-Fi Analytics solutions for retailers. For over a decade, Bryan has been dedicated to and focused on the promise of the mobile Internet innovations. In his role, Bryan developed and led a team of engineers, business development, sales, and product professionals in creating the first Wi-Fi Analytics platform with a personalization API that integrates shopper data for more targeted and personalized marketing. Under his leadership, Nearbuy generated millions of dollars in revenue and quickly became the leader in the Wi-Fi Analytics market. With more than one thousand stores installed within one year and more than a hundred thousand new users opting in every day through the Nearbuy platform, the company was acquired by RetailNext in November 2013.
Before founding Nearbuy, he served as General Manager of Aruba’s AirWave product line, which was focused on multi-vendor wireless management systems. Bryan came to Aruba via the AirWave Wireless acquisition, where he was Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Prior to AirWave, Bryan successfully founded 2Roam to address the proliferation of mobile Internet devices and the profound effect they have on enterprise computing. Bryan also served as senior business development manager for VeriFone’s e-commerce software products and was a territory manager for Hewlett-Packard’s Unix division.
Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
