The Challenge
The Vitamin Shoppe initially was not measuring store traffic, leaving many business decisions based on assumption rather than reliable data. The team set out to establish a performance baseline across the fleet, identify areas of opportunity, and optimize labor scheduling — all of which required accurate, fleet-wide traffic and conversion data.
The Solution
The Vitamin Shoppe partnered with RetailNext and deployed its Traffic Analytics solution, piping store data into the retailer's internal dashboard to create a single source of truth for KPIs spanning sales, average order value, units per transaction, conversion, and private-brand penetration. Centralizing traffic and conversion within the existing dashboard — rather than building a separate report — kept costs down while standardizing how leaders across the field measured performance.
