Alexei Agratchev is the CEO and co-founder of RetailNext, where he also serves on its Board of Directors.
Along with his two fellow co-founders, Alexei founded RetailNext in November of 2007 as the world’s first smart store analytics company bringing e-commerce-style metrics to brick-and-mortar retail stores. Under his oversight, RetailNext has grown to be the world-wide leader in retail analytics, with deployments in tens of thousands of stores in over 75 countries.
Since founding RetailNext, Alexei has raised nearly $250 million in growth equity and debt financing, and led two corporate acquisitions, NearBuy Systems in 2013 and Pikato in 2016.
Before founding RetailNext in 2007, Alexei spent eight years at Cisco Systems, where during his tenure he held a number of leadership positions with direct responsibility for developing and launching new product lines. He was the founder and General Manager of an internal startup within the Cisco Systems Emerging Technologies Group focused on developing video applications for the gaming and retail markets.
Prior to Cisco Systems, Alexei was a consultant at Accenture in its Electronics and High Tech Operating Unit. He was responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise solutions that enhanced business performance for various corporations.
Previously named to The Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list, Alexei holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Claremont McKenna College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He has also completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program and the Cisco Leadership Series.
