&lt;p&gt;We are looking for a skilled backend engineer to join our team. Our primary backend stack is &lt;strong&gt;Go&lt;/strong&gt;, and &lt;strong&gt;Go experience is strongly desired&lt;/strong&gt;. However, we are also open to engineers with a strong background in &lt;strong&gt;any statically typed backend language&lt;/strong&gt; (e.g., &lt;strong&gt;Java, Kotlin, Rust, C#&lt;/strong&gt;) eager to develop in a &lt;strong&gt;Go-based&lt;/strong&gt; environment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h4&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What You’ll Do:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Build and optimize distributed cloud systems for processing retail analytics data at scale.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Work with &lt;strong&gt;Go (strongly desired)&lt;/strong&gt;—our primary language—or transition into Go from another statically typed backend language.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Participate in our &lt;strong&gt;Follow-the-Sun&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;operations and rolling on-call schedules (no night shifts).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain and improve our cloud services on &lt;strong&gt;Google Cloud Platform&lt;/strong&gt;, leveraging technologies like &lt;strong&gt;Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, PubSub, RabbitMQ&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Support our &lt;strong&gt;Continuous Deployment&lt;/strong&gt; pipeline, using &lt;strong&gt;Terraform/Puppet&lt;/strong&gt; for infrastructure automation.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Thrive in a &lt;strong&gt;maker’s culture&lt;/strong&gt; with minimal meetings and overhead, focusing on solving meaningful problems.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Strong in at least one of &lt;strong&gt;Go (strongly desired), &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Java, Kotlin, Rust, C#&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Several years of backend or backend-like development experience.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Proficient in &lt;strong&gt;spoken English&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Experience with &lt;strong&gt;continuous deployment&lt;/strong&gt; or working in a &lt;strong&gt;Kanban&lt;/strong&gt; environment.&lt;/li&gt;
