Project Manager
About the role
We're looking for a Project Manager to own the execution of customer deployment projects end-to-end. This role sits at the heart of the PMO team — handling the majority of our standard deployments and building the customer relationships that keep RetailNext running.
You're someone who takes accountability seriously, communicates proactively, and doesn't wait to be told when something is off track. You're comfortable managing multiple projects at once, working with vendors and customers, and keeping the details tight without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What You'll Do
Project Execution & Delivery
- Own concurrent deployment projects independently through the full lifecycle — from kickoff to go-live — following established PMO processes.
- Manage project budgets, track milestones with urgency, and flag risks early before they become problems.
- Act as the primary escalation point for your customer accounts, resolving routine deployment issues and escalating complex ones with clear analysis.
- Generate accurate project quotes using established pricing models and customer-specific requirements.
- Meet or exceed PMO KPIs while contributing to overall team performance.
Customer Relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned customer accounts with consistent, proactive communication.
- Manage customer expectations throughout the deployment and actively look for ways to add value to the partnership.
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, and project summaries for internal stakeholders and customers.
Deployment Coordination
- Keep all deployment workstreams on track — site surveys, equipment shipping, vendor scheduling, and installation coordination.
- Manage equipment returns and RMA processes independently.
- Oversee vendor communications and monitor performance, escalating quality or schedule issues as needed.
- Coordinate shipping schedules, delivery confirmations, and logistics tracking.
Documentation & Process
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and complete deployment checklists accurately throughout the project lifecycle.
- Keep all RetailNext platforms updated with timely, accurate project information.
- Follow all PMO SLAs — customer responses, quote delivery, shipping coordination, SmartOps updates, and internal comms.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous process improvement.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 2–3 years of project management or coordination experience.
- Experience in a customer-facing role — you're comfortable owning relationships and having direct conversations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate clearly with both customers and internal teams.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace and project management tools.
- Solid understanding of deployment or operations processes and how to keep complex moving parts on track.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping the ball.
Valued but Not Required
- Familiarity with retail technology, hardware deployments, or physical installation projects.
- Experience with SmartOps or similar deployment management platforms.
- Background in vendor management or procurement.
- Exposure to more complex, multi-site rollout projects.
